So,
I had my practical examination for keyboard, vocal and guitar. Yes, vocal - singing. Keyboard was okay since I play the piano and guitar was slightly okay too but vocal. Gosh. Just thinking about it gives me goosebumps. I was terrible! Told them I am not good at singing with eyes looking at me and there are three pairs of lecturers' eyes! Goodness. Although I was singing with Nisaa, I was literally sweating my palms away! I screwed up the whole vocal practical examination. ;( Now i have to work harder on the aural test and the final examination in order to keep my grades. Sigh.
Anyways,
Three days ago (24th September), we (the whole orchestra group) went to the place we're performing in next Tuesday. Honestly, the external didn't really amuse me. What amused me was the internal of the hall. It is so opera-ish. You know, with the balconies in the hall, the chandeliers, the decorated ceiling, the lights and the drapes. When we entered the hall, we were still in a sleepy mood (we waited for the bus since 6.30 morning and you can imagine what time we woke up) but someone from our group suddenly said that there's actually a grand piano backstage. We froze for awhile and ran to the back and voila! THERE IS A GRAND PIANO covered with dust as if it has been there for years, untouched. We music students, of course, did not hesitate to open it and play it and gosh. Eventhough it is untouched and not tuned for meybe years, the sound is AMAZING. So graceful, elegant, bizarre, remarkable, exquisite, you name it! The sound of it literally blew me off!
Soon, we were called to start our rehearsal and we rehearsed for two to three hours and my fingers were so pain! Although I have been playing the cello for almost three months but my fingers are still soft. WHY AH!?
:(
Rehearsal was okay. I managed to play the running notes for some songs. ;) Then, it was lunch time. We literally gobbled our lunch cz we were so hungry! Haha! After lunch, Stef and I decided to explore the hall. The hall was kinda eerie especially when it was so quiet and both of us went up to the balcony ourselves. The stairs to the balcony is the spiral type? And it is so small that we had to tip toe up the stairs. I have to admit, going up was no problem at all but coming down was suffering! It's like you'll fall ANYTIME. Anyway, when we were at the balcony of the hall, we kinda had goosebumps cz first, the place is messy. Second, it is quiet and third, it looks like some place where people would avoid. Stef and I were quiet the whole time but I managed to break the silence when I look down and saw Nisaa and asked her to take a picture of us. :)
Soon, we heard someone playing the piano and went backstage and saw Ronail, the prof ;) playing it so we sang along! Alva came and he opened the cover (not sure what it's called *smiles*) of the grand piano and I saw signatures somewhere near the strings. At first I thought to myself that those are grafities by some mischievous kids but when I see clearly, those are actually signatures of people who played that grand piano years ago and there's actually dates below each of the signatures. There's 1986, 1987, 1988, 1992 and the latest is 1997. Tha grand piano is already there before I was born! Somehow, I feel that I'm lucky to be able to play that piano which had been played by several great people. Although I don't know who are they but they are all angmohs by reading their names and somehow I always feel that angmohs are really good in music so I assume that they are someone great since they're asked to sign on that piano and I don't think that they'll sign people's piano suddenly right? ;)
Here are some pictures I took while we were not rehearsing. :)
Backstage's mirror with Rebekah, Stef and I :)
This is the grand piano I was talking about and this is Ronail playing Time Of My Life (Dirty Bit) by Black Eyed Peas. ;) He's an awesome pianist!
I even told Stef and Ronail that anyone who play that piano might be haunted since it is so old and dusty and it seems like no one has touch it for years. Haha! As a joke of course. Three of us are still alive and healthy. :)
The view from the hall's balcony! :)
Looks eerie right!!!
*goosebumps*
This is the ceiling of the lobby before entering the hall.
Awesome ceiling/mirror so we ended up taking pictures of our reflections. :) That's Nisaa and I!
I'm obssessed with chandeliers. :)

Attempted to look like a pillar with hands and legs.
The Pillar Of Liberty?
Peace y'all!
No idea what was I thinking but I love how my shoe look here so I posted it. What? Have to embrace the beauty of your surrounding okay! Eventhough it's just a shoe.
:)
The pillar is cold okay!
While waiting for the bus, all of us went for a walk.
Embracing my big face.
Whatever.
This is something like the Putrajaya in KL?
Except it's not as beautiful as Putrajaya and not as big as Putrajaya.
This is where we're going to perform next Tuesday!
Attempted to pose as if i'm cutting the roof but failed. @.@
*Oh! Something's wrong with the cello and lecturer is trying to fix it by tomorrow. Crossing my fingers so that the cello will be back by tomorrow! There's a tiny performance tomorrow. ;(*
